4 Top Ways to Nourish your Hair Using Eggs

Eggs, being highly rich in protein, vitamins and essential fatty acids are commonly referred as wonder foods. There are varieties of egg packs and egg nutrients that can be used for having silkier and stronger hair. For the people with dry locks, split ends, dandruffs, lice, or flaky scalp, application of egg is a best remedy.

Nourishment of hair can be done in all aspects using eggs as it provides important fatty acids and antioxidants to the hair follicles. Given below are some of the ways to nourish your hair using eggs:

Egg-Olive Oil Pack

For the people who wish to initiate hair growth or for the people who are suffering from the problem of hair loss, the best way is to apply a paste of one white egg and 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Beat the mixture till a paste is formed and apply it all over your scalp. Wash with lukewarm water after 15 minutes. Repeat the procedure twice a week to get best results.

Egg Yolk-Yoghurt Paste

Take one cup of fresh yoghurt and mix one egg yolk to it. Mix the ingredients well till a thick paste is formed. Apply the egg pack on your hair and you will experience silky smoother hair just after your wash. To get rid of the smell, you may also mix olive oil in your egg pack.

Egg Conditioner

You can make your own conditioner by taking one egg yolk in a bowl and adding a tablespoon of olive oil to it. Keep the mixture still for some time and add half cup of lukewarm water to it. The mixture will become semi-dry and is ready to be applied as a conditioner. Apply the ready mixture on the length of your hair and rinse it off after some time.

Egg-Honey-Yoghurt Pack

Another way to nourish your hair using egg is to take an egg yolk and mix one table spoon of honey. Whisk the ingredients and add one tablespoon of yoghurt to it. Keep on stirring the mixture well and add one tablespoon almond oil, one tablespoon olive oil and half tablespoon coconut oil. Your egg pack is ready. Apply it to your hair and leave it for at least 2 hours. Wash it off with cold water. This is the best way to repair damaged and dry hair.

Since egg yolk is rich in Vitamins A, D and E, it is known to be a very good nourishing medium for hair. When applied on hair length or entirely on your scalp, these acts as a barrier against harmful UV rays and polluting substances.
